All,

As above, I fell foul of ordering some product from the above, assuming they were the "official" CG site (I was a newbie and didn't know about @polishedbliss, @slimsdetailing, @ultimatefinish, @cleanyourcar etc and ordered a few items.

A month on, I am still waiting for the order to be completed (ended up buying grit guards from Slims!), and the below is a reply I got from CG USA:

Please refer to the following statement:

CARWASHnWAX dba “Chemical Guys UK” (operating the following listed websites) is no longer affiliated with Chemical Guys or its parent company Smart, Inc.

http://www.chemicalguysuk.com

http://www.carwashnwax.com

We do not sell products or services to this company and therefore have no recourse to resolve or attempt to resolve any issues or disputes with their respective customers.

We suggest that customers in the UK looking to purchase Chemical Guys products refer to the following authorized resellers:

http://www.slimsdetailing.co.uk/chemical-guys.html

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php?_a=viewBrand&brandId=6

Not overly helpful, but at least don't make the same mistake as me.

@Sandra - can you make this sticky, or suggest a better place for this info to be posted?

They were dreadful even when they were part of the main company...

On the whole I find the brand completely over-priced and over-hyped. With perhaps the exception of Hybrid V07 and their DA pads, there are much better products out there, at much better prices.

Shampoos, tyre gels, leather cleaners and polishes were just a handful of products I tested that were plain awful to use....

Clearly, as post ordering and waiting found all the negative reviews. I normally check but as they “appeared” to be official UK site, which is my fault.

All I ordered was woolly mammoth drying towel, which is really good, v07 which is ace, 2 x buckets for wash/rinse and 2 x grit guards (these are what never arrived) which I ended up buying again from slims!
