Scott, been having the same issue with mine for the last year, I have Mr Muscled it a couple of times, which has helped it short term, but the fault always re occurs, which does lead me to believe that the fault lies with the turbo. the vanes must really be full of cr*p, and as they say sh*t...

Help, my turbo on my 1.9AFN is fubbered !! got sick of limp mode, so I took it to my mechanic to see if he could take the turbo off and clean the vanes, but he phoned me earlier to tell me that now it's on the bench it sounds like a childs rattle, seems the end of the actuator rod has broken ...

just had all my brakes done, including new discs, pads, and calipers, but my fitter noticed a split in the reservoir bottle on the top of the master cylinder, is it possible to get just the bottle and not the whole thing? it's an afn if it makes a difference. thanks in advance

for the first time ever today, i started filling my tdi with unleaded!! i luckily soon noticed, so have only put 1.9 litres in. then i thought, i dont want to fill it up with diesel in case i've knackered it, so i only put 10 litres in. it drove to work ok, but should i fill it up on the way...

Yes, the temp climbed steady to 65c, then fluctuated between 62-57c with all heating etc off, I lifted the bonnet whilst it was idling at the end of the journey, and noticed the fan was continuously on, is that normal? Skinz, sorry to jump on your thread, i thought it would be a good idea to...

I don't know, because I only got a chance to set it up at some roadworks, by which time it was up to 62c.Thanks, I will try that tomorrow, and have the ac off too!!

had a go with the climate thingy, and it read the same as the gauge, never went above 62c, is that a new sender or thermostat?

did so last night, no change in the reading, didn't go above 60c !

mine seems to have stopped working for the last week or two aswell, although it climbed to 65c this morning ?? am i looking at a thermostat replacement?

walked passed an old A8 the other day and noticed its headlights are separate from the indicators, just like a pre facelift B5, just curious to know if they fit, or if anyone has tried, they look quite good imho

i have managed to get myself a little confused ( quite easily done ), i need a new set of pads and discs for the front of my tdi avant, it's obvious i have vented discs, but i'm unsure what pads i need.yes they do have springs in the calipers, but i don't know if they have wear indicators or...

i have a 98 tdi se avant, and it has no DIS or outside temp or heated seats, but it does have climate,hi-fi upgrade, electric windows and roof etc.. I think they could be ordered from new with many different options.
