Evening all.

Had a brake bulb warning light today so nipped to Halfords for a bulb but unfortunately the bulb holder is badly corroded.

Is this a common problem? The rear light unit was soaking too. I'm wondering if I should replace the full unit.

After re assembling I now have no lights from the cluster :(

So common and fixable, or a trip to the dealers?

Thanks
Dan

Mine is slightly corroded where someone hadn't clipped down the bulb holder properly, was getting the same fault. Not as badly as yours though.

Gave it a clean up with a brush and glass paper (wet and dry) and works fine now. If nothing is working maybe a fuse has gone or there is a ground fault somewhere. Give the connector a good clean too with some electrical contact cleaner!
