chassis number query

hey all I want to buy some Meyle arms which state:

up to : 8E-5-600 000

now my chassis number is: 8E 45A 540 XXX which doesn't really match up. Can someone tell me how to tell if they are correct?

ok I think I figured it out.

The applicable bits are:

8E 45A 540 XXX (5 - 540 - 000) so its before 5 - 600 - 000, which means cheaper arms yayyy

8E = model
4 = filler
5 = year
A = Audi factory
540 - XXX = build number
