New Battery?

Hi All,

Been a while as I am now tied up with the Mk1 Golf.

The doors keep catching when I open them, only every now and then but still annoying. It is as if the latch hasnt been opend for long enough, or not opened enough?

Also when I set the alarm the indicators dont always flash and I have to open and slam the boot to get it to work.

I think the car is getting lazy and the battery might be to blame.

Where did you find the best place for a battery and what did you pay?

What might go wrong and need resetting once I fit the new one?

Bosch silver top, £65 incl fitting at the VAG specialist I use.
You'll need the seurity code for the HU, should be in the inside cover of the HU manual

Cheers Andy.Will pick one up next week. I have got an aftermarket head unit so that will be fine.

I just remember things about the one touch windows and wondered if there were any more gremlins.

Its annoying as I just had to get some new tyres (£380) and a service with a few bits (£230) and I need new brakes in a few thousand miles!!!
