So me and my mate thought we’d try this out and it came out really cool. And looks so cool in the night. And it cost me about £10. It was hard work Due to small thin wires and taping up and connecting wires to different wires but we got there in the end.

Have you used Elwire?
Looks really nice.

I've upgraded my ambient lighting by sticking a led tape on top of the clear plastic running behind the silver trim. Great thing about it is also that, I can control brightness from the MMI.

Is it 12v and where did you take the power and earth/ground from?

I have bought this aliexpress set where I need a 12v source from each door panel, but don't know where to take it.

Take it from each door ambient lighting, if already there. If not, you would need to replace each door module with one that have this function and run new wires there
