Whats the reccomended oil for my 2000wTQS?

Halfrauds reckon 10/40 semi synth which I paid 8 quid for a litre of topup!

Just remembered that my Vr6 used 10/40 VW syntha quantum stuff which is semi synth, and i've got 5litres sittng in me garage can I use this?

I dont see why you cant, i use full stnth in mine, 5w30 iirc

Yes thinking about an oil and filer using synta gold stuff from my friendly seat dealer.

No idea what was in it when I got it.

Vr6 sounded liuke a bag of nails on the fuly synth gold and was nice and quiet on the silver semi.

Does anyone use semi here?

Get SLX II, thats what I have used the whole time I have had my car.

Which has been from 18k miles to 62k miles and never had any problems.

Is fully synthetic.

Is recommended by Audi/VW. On the pack is for all the 1.8T engines like TT, S3 etc. and other high performance models. I have a mate which gets me it for much cheapness from his work. He says they just put it in the Golf turbo's and the R32's etc. Also has the recommended vw code that is in the service/owners manual.

Is quite expensive I think though.

I use 5w-40w fully synthetic by motul or silkolene tend to change th oil every 3000 - 5000 miles with a flush every second time.
