Weird rattling sound from dashboard Audi A3 8PA

I hear this weird rattling sound from my dashboard when in idle. The car drives excellently so I don’t notice any issues while driving. Does anyone know the cause and possibly a fix?

Does it rattle when cars ignition is on but engine not started, have you tried with heater system on & off etc.

No sound when the engine is off but the ignition is on, I have tried turning the heating system on and off but the sound continues.

Then it's unlikely to be the dash, imho, you could remove the glovebox & start engine & the trim under steering wheel to gain access to that area too.

It does indeed come mostly from the glovebox. Do you reckon there's something in there ticking onto a component or would there be something faulty?
