hi the battery has gone on my standard 1998 1.6l Audi A3

from what i can see the recommended Battery for the car is a 75Ah 600cca

but i have got a Lucas Supreme 60Ah 590cca in perfect condition in the garage fully charged and wanting to know if this battery will be ok for the car rather than going out and getting new one because the starting power is very close and i was under the impression that the AH determined how long you could run the electics on just the battery which i do not do

any help would be great as it seems a waste to go and get a battery when this one seems like it should do the job

should be ok , does it fit in the recess ok ??? ,

worth a try at least as you have nothing to loose. You won`t hurt the car putting it on.

Don't bother with a new battery, that will be fine. CCA is cold cranking amps, 10 is next to nowt in the scheme of things.

It might be a little smaller physically but that won't matter.

great thanks for the advice will get it fitted in the morning just wanting to know thow am i just right in thinking that the Ah Reading is just how long yo can run things off it without the engine on

and if so can anyone give me an idea of just what 60ah is in real Terms
