About 4k more than my current order spec s3 based on the PDFs above and the current s3 option prices.
Hmm very tempting. Would be my first RS. How to convince the wife.
They're the ones that come on the new RSQ3
So.....had a long chat with dealer about the RS3 and pricing again today.
Fell off my chair at work when he said it's looking like £2,500 for the carbon ceramics, £1,200 for the bucket sports seats and £795 for the sports exhaust.
In my head this is easily going to be £45k for a mild spec. The more I think about it I do wonder if the fairly modest performance gains are worth it for the premium over the S3.
I was told ceramics were £4k and £2.5k for the buckets
Wait 6/12 month as it's not a limited number the discounts will come in 12 month when they can't shift them, look at the discounts on other rs models
Face lift will be announced tail end of Q4 2016 so that will push demand up further so I agree, discounts will be harder to get if at allI don't think you will see discounting until at least 18 - 24 months in, allocations will be tight.
Really? I've twice had the same 335d try and out run me in my S3 - he couldn't, in fact, I pulled away from him on both occasions. In everyday use the S3 is a ****** quick car, especially when put it into dynamic or sport or use the paddles. From my experience it can humble rather a lot of other performance cars, including diesel BMW's
I put a link to this thread in the RS3 forum awhile a goI can totally understand the initial excitement of the now officially released details of the next RS3 but do you think @Sandra this thread could be moved to where it should be in the RS3 Forum? its becoming quite tiresome reading comments belittling the S3. thoughts?

leave it open till the car has been launched then lock..After a little thought I tend to agree with some members that this thread is the wrong section. It should be in the ASN RS3 section
What I am proposing to do is lock this thread with a link to the RS3 forum and their 8V RS3 thread
I'll act according to the rules of democracy lol
Thoughts everyone please
What's the point in that ? this is the 8V A3/S3 section ,the RS3 has a separate section altogether .leave it open till the car has been launched then lock..
the point is there seems to be a lote of s3 drivers thinking of going for one including my self ,for now its handy being in this section. What's the point in that ? this is the 8V A3/S3 section ,the RS3 has a separate section altogether .
It may be"handy"but it's the wrong sectionthe point is there seems to be a lote of s3 drivers thinking of going for one including my self ,for now its handy being in this section.
If you don't like it then don't read the thread, simples
I posted a while ago in the suggestions forum about this. Well, specifically about the e-tron having a separate forum but also about the RS3. Personally I still feel all variants of the 8V should be in one place because they all have far more in common than differentiates them and it simply splits up the community. If this or any other thread about the RS3 is moved to the dedicated forum, I suspect the vast majority of regular posters here will never look at it again because they see no need to frequent the RS forums.
