hi all,

Any guidance and recommendations on the above mentioned? I am preferring Brembo if possible. I have 19s so hoping clearance won't be an issue.

Thanks

Clearance shouldn't be an issue, but check the offset, and a set of spacers should help if really neccessary.

I have an AP 6pot kit on the front, and Forge's (likely K-Sport) 4 pot rear kit.
AP really do stop you.

Thanks, that's two recommending AP on the bounce :)

I would prefer not to go spacer route as clearance is tight as it is. My CH-Rs are ET48

Thanks , AMD Essex have these in which I may consider. Would prefer Brembo if I'm honest or RS6's as I've heard this can be done too.

AMDTuning have been my choice for some years.

You may have to wait up to 6 weeks for APRacing to make the kit,but the wait is worth it.

Ap are much better than brembo (both are good) I believe rs6 calipers are brembo calipers anyway ,think you will need spacers what ever u go for as the calipers are bigger

AP would be my first choice but it depends how big your budget is/how much your willing to spend.

If money was no object I wouldn't think twice but at around £2K I cant justify it (right now) :(

There is many other option's though RS4/5/6 brakes etc etc....

Another option is the revo by alcon upgrade but they to come in at around 2K ,
Yellow speed racing do a set up at around £1200 bit more if you want a floating disk they are meant to be a good set up know of one person that is running over 400HP and there fine

Alex_wil uses the Yellow Speed kit and seems very happy with it.

If you can get hold of him,or maybe contact N8,then DaveB1970 is the local brake man,but unfortunately is also very busy.

Has anyone tried pb brakes? Never heard of anyone using them but they look like a good bit of kit
Cheers

Never heard of them are they standalone or do the Yb use the K-tech caliper rebranded?

Not too sure to honest mate never properly looked into them, just glanced over them but it think 380mm 8 pots with floating rotors discs pads lines brackets, in any colour you want, for I think was 1500, I'll send them a message and ask
Cheers

Personally if I was looking to spend 1500 I'd save that little bit more and go alcon or ap , not sure if they will tell u if there rebranded calipers ????
There is also the option of going for a set up from rayland come with ap calipers but I think there recondtioned

I'm selling RS4 8pot brand new Calipers with BKS mounting brackets and longer R8 mounting bolts if anyone's interested.

Yeah 1500 from a company with no real information doesn't seem too clever, I was just wondering if anyone has used them, just a quick look on there website and there is no weights, piston sizes, nothing really to suggest that they will be any good, would be interesting to see how they compare to proven BBK. I wonder how good there coilovers kits are hmmmmmm

Back to the original question, what are you wanting the brakes for, track? Street? Or to look good? I had no problem at all with my ttrs calipers even on oem discs on the street performed awesome they are 4 pots however but if you're going to track it I'd go with ap or Alcon or even go the 18z route all depend what you want out of them

Cheers

What about k-sport? Are their brakes any good?
I had 8 pot k sport on my astra coupe turbo and in my opinion they were the worst brakes I've ever had on any car, no real pedal feel and barely stopped me from 80 when warm, that was 5 years ago they may be better now
Cheers

Wouldn't touch K sport myself ,don't get sucked into more pots = better performance I'd put money onit 6 pot ap's would out perform 10 pot k sports,
Or if it's just looks your after could go down the zero sixty or tarox disk route and have your calipers refurbed and painted any colour you want

I'm using what has been reliably reported to me as a branded K-Sport sourced 4 pot rear kit on mine, which I honestly can't complain about as it is definitely better than the single pot caliper previously on there.

This is Audi's idea of a rear brake for an S3...

Replacement...

And fronts...

I'm sure there a massive improvement on the back but would u put them on the front over say ttrs calipers ??

There is a guy on the Briskoda forum with a 500hp TT RS powered Skoda Yeti and I think he runs PB brakes and seems to be happy with them...

I think that's so good.....such a shock for anything "faster and better".

Great idea.

I seriously love that.

Like the AMG C63 that couldn't get near the little white hatchback....

I've been in touch with Dave/Richard at Vagbremtechnic and also a few other good brake specialist so I have a few options personally to go with. I have 8 pot Audi/Brembo calipers to fit just need to decide which disc's/pads etc I want too run....

Hi there

Not sure if they do fit yours.

I know they will fit an RS3 8p because I know someone that fitted them successfully.

They will need 370 mm discs too.

I thinking of going TTRS folks and have been provided a decent enough price with trustworthy installer.

Any one if I went TTRS calipers whether the following wave design disks will fit?

Not sure but the AP kit is nice I've just installed Brembo 4-pots & the AP discs onto mine, You can get the J hook discs or drilled if you prefer over the grooved too:
