i just need vc
rest of them already upgraded
You upgraded a pre MY17 to the CarPlay capable MMI unit?
Retrofits can be completed legitimately alsoIt can be done - there's a company (wait for it) in Russia that can do this. You need to rip out your MMI unit and send it to them to do some firmware update etc.
Once you've done that you just gotta keep everything crossed that they actually send it back as otherwise you'd be pretty stuffed.
Can I ask if those who have retrofitted the VC, is your remaining fuel indicator still accurate? Reflecting more or less the same remaining fuel vs mileage travelled compared to the analogue cluster?
Any other owners who has done the retrofit please join in and share your experiences. Hopefully can help in ironing out my remaining issues...
- B&O Sound system (module 47) having error.
- Bluetooth phone calls, other party not able to hear me. (could be related to B&O)
- Remaining fuel tank indicator not accurate
Not sure I really want to give up the information for the time being as I would be loosing a professional advantage... if you see what I mean. What I will say is that VCDS cannot perform this change at this moment in time.Is that a firmware upgrade or a coding change ?
If it helps any I have VC and B&O factory fitted.

Because the car is in "Park"Hm, where does the 4000rpm rev limit come in? Is this standard across the board? I wouldn't dare take my car to that rev range cold to find out.
Never tried / moved as the test car was in bitsHi Alex, were you able to get some readings on the Power and Torque dials in Sports Layout? So far, they remains at zero reading for my case.
Thanks mate. I noticed my Offset sensor 2 is set to 12.7 instead of -12.8. Will give it a shot and see how it goes.
PS : hmm...I also noticed your gen 2 B&O has more bytes in its coding compared to my pre FL one.

At Castle Coombe we were asked to rev the car to 5k for the noise test but it wouldn't go past 4k!

They were ok to rev to 4k as realised it wouldn't go any higher yep was out there, one of about 7 nardo ones!Oh How did you get around that? I'm amazed that the RS3 passes noise tests for the roads, they must be tested in comfort for a start!
Were you on the track session at Combe? With RS3OC? Didn't recognise many cars to be honest, much prefer this forum so I don't know any. I have a video of that full track session.
