RS3 Build Tracker Spreadsheet

Thanks for that, at least it's something to hopefully satisfy my impatience.

Once it arrives it then needs to be transported up to me so no doubt that'll be yet another delay from the dealership. I'm not getting my hopes up too much for a delivery in the near future. Haha.
My car took just under 2 weeks from notification by MSG that it had arrived in the UK to being delivered to me.
About 4 weeks in total from being advised it had arrived at the port or exit.

How long was it in total from order if you don't mind me asking?

Well it looks like my car has actually been released now and is heading to the port. It'll be ending up at Lincoln Audi, so if any of your gurus know which boat it might be on, some insight would be much appreciated because I'm very impatient... Haha.
Was your bw same as mine? 26th june? I keep getting told its due to get final checks on the 26th august before shipped... wteva they might be. Hoping the checks are done and on same boat as yours.

Mine was BW28, so 11th July. I was told the same about the final checks, only I wasn't given a date. I'd imagine that if yours is a Vorsprung as well they would've both been done if mine is already on the move. But it's Audi, so who knows.

I was told that there are random quality checks at the port of Emden. The timeframes can vary depending how long your car is hanging around at various points. My car was only in Grimsby for a couple of days but all depends if things in sync with the transporters etc. Your dealer should be getting updates at every stage and they can check on the system. Mine was emailing me most days as think he knew what an excited ‘kid’ I was :)

Mine is through a broker so I don't get updates directly and have to rely on them passing them on. Usually they're not bad but I'm obviously not the only customer so there's a delay sometimes.

Broker called me. All his cars are delayed but the car I'm getting is still showing as BW30 on the system. My only consolation is that it's not had the BW moved to next year. DG, SB, VS

Not sure what to plan for :(

What week is it just now? because if the build slot doesn't move 4 weeks prior to build it's locked in to be built normally

Just had confirmation, still no build slot :(
I keep on saying this build weeks are pointless at the moment as they're all getting pushed back to next year....especially if you've ordered one in a exclusive paint why are exclusive paints getting pushed back so far l don't know but 3 who have including myself are all in the first quarter of next year

So my original order from this April for a Vorsprung Saloon has been built and I’ve had an email from Audi today that it’s left the factory!

Just a recap on my story…….ordered Glacier White, got a cancellation for Merlin Purple that I really wanted and my order was passed on to someone else. They changed the colour to Mythos Black and the build week came right forward from early next year. I’m still getting the email updates from Audi UK. There must be logic here somewhere but judging my peoples long wait times, it’s a bit odd. Imagine the lucky customer can’t believe their luck!

Like quite a few I have just about reached my 1 year anniversary from order placement (no card, no cake) the last update that I received from the dealer was over 6.5 months ago, that update was the car being built BW37, which is now 3 weeks away, since then there have been no further updates received and by that I mean no contact whatsoever. Am I being optimistic that my car will actually be built then? Or do we think they dealer is just hiding knowing that things have changed?

Is there anything more formal that I should have received by now confirming this BW?
Nearly there also

How long you been waiting mate. I'm still waiting but my salesman said this and I quote "Still no build week yet but as the Factories return to production over the next couple of weeks I am expecting build weeks to start being scheduled for 2023 model year"

So far my salesman has been excellent giving me weekly updates and contacting as promised.

As in April 2022?

Can anyone provide the Centre Number for Lincoln Audi? I won’t have time to call them at all in next few days and i need it for the driveaway insurance and need to arrange it by Friday.

Hello guys,
I've been following this thread for a while now but this is my first time posting on the forum.
I would like to apologize for my english, it isn't my first language, but i'll do my best to tell my experience so far.
I don't know if this is relevant or if anyone can relate to it as i'm from Belgium, smaller country, less imports, but anyway here it is..

So i placed my order to an Audi dealership in Belgium the 30th January 2022, i took a slot for an incoming car they ordered for their shop and customized it. It is a Sportback Mythos black, fairly light option wise (no packs, no ceramics, no sound system, no 360 parking camera, no pan roof).
It was planned to arrive on 6th november 2022. I was in touch with my dealer every two months to get an update, the arrival of the car stayed the same but i never got a BW. Last update i was told it would arrive a bit earlier, 21 October 2022 but still no BW.
Two days ago i called them for an update, and the guy from Audi told me my order got pushed back to the 16th March 2023 because of the parking sensors (the audio default ones) lack of supply.
As far as i know, these sensors are on every A3 S3 RS3 that are produced and there are still cars coming out of factory which led me to a bit of paranoia regarding my order. It almost is like everyone who order right before the inflation of the prices are being pushed back to Q1 of 2023, so they can take benefit of these higher prices, re selling your order, and giving it you later when the prices will eventuelly go down. I am probably wrong, i dont know much about this, but the 4 months delay was a hard hit to take. It'll be 1 year and 3 months of wait total. I know people have been waiting longer and i'm not here to moan about it, just to share.
What is ur opinion on this?

thanks for reading me

in the whole scheme of things ie the current situation you haven't waited that long have you 8 months?
You are correct. For this if you look to my previous posts i have acknowledged that i have not waited as long as other members ie you and a few more. But regardless of wait times waiting is waiting. And like you my scottish friend, i am also aloud a wee moan, especially when i do not have a car any more due to the wait of this car, and my audi salespersons bs expected handover date.

@K44WMY you misunderstood in the whole scheme of things a 8 month wait is very good indeed...no l didn't see your previous post about saying you hadn't waited that long and also I've no qualms about anyone getting their car asap I am only interested in my own exclusive coloured car mate

Welcome @DannyM8Y …….it’s great to hear about the global situation, although seems as inconsistent as we are seeing in the UK. Their is a great deal of speculation and theories about what Audi are/aren’t doing but guess we will never actually know. Personally I think Audi are using a bit of a scattergun approach and randomly throwing builds in depending on things like colour/spray schedules at the time and part supplies. I do wonder whether they have a load of cars partially built waiting for parts but no idea if they do things like that. First time I’ve heard about parking sensors, main things I’ve heard about are micro-processors, wiring looms and sunroofs. If only Audi just came forward and told people what they are doing I think there would be a lot less anger from customers but I suspect we will never see that.

They 100% have built cars just sat waiting for parts. Every manufacturer is doing that just to keep the Factories going it costs them more to start and stop the line.

The Carbons do seem to be coming mostly in date ordered albeit very very slowly. Vorspungs seem to be totally random! Low spec cars seem to get sent asap which cuts across all orders.

Hello guys,
..
Welcome, As mentioned, lesser the add-ons, quicker the car is built and delivered. We noticed, the Saloon (sedan) versions were delivered before the Sportsback versions and choice of colour adds to the batches and sequence of which is being built . LHD should help!.

Seems, 1 hour for any edits.

Spreadsheet - Tracker for new RS3 2022 models with, Variant type, member name, when order placed, delivered and Estimate build date given,
For sake of anonymity blanked out the member names, will show on request.
Summary 33 RS3 orders have been placed, 2 completed by end of this week.

If you wish your details updated and shown, let me know, and I will update on a weekly basis. Mine is a Vorsprung so will be around updating this for a good while.

Good Morning All,
@3vans [Vorspung] & @Cheifweasel [Carbon] have picked up their cars. @3vans presently holds Longest Wait Trophy :trophy: , (very short lived to be sure).
@billymc92 & @K44WMY 's Vorsprung are now in build status and should be with them within weeks,
@Patrickv should be the next in line, however as its a Sportsback, is anyones guess.
@dixiebrook & @Phill6666 joining the spreadsheet list
! There were 23 cars placed on order for the first 2 weeks of books opening with 16 delivered and 6 awaiting patiently, all Vorsprungs.

Morning All,
Quite a few Vorsprung Daytona Grey Sportsback were being built or being completed in August and being handed over around Sept.
Peek on https://www.hotline.audi/en , is not encouraging as reduced operating hours at the factory are being extended to end of Sept 2022 as a direct consequence of continued parts shortage. Not good news at all as further recalibrations of estimated BW may be advised :grumpy:and elevate up the prices for used cars.

This bit is worrying "The company can’t currently foresee whether work cancellations can be avoided" not so much for us waiting for cars but for the poor factory workers its past worrying about a car I feel for them to be honest.
