It isn’t giving the boost it should, it isn’t logging. It only reads boost.

Yes it is, fitted ok. The problem I have is with the APR turbo inlet. My car is non OPF and has an additional hose connecting to the inlet that comes from the turbo outlet. Therefore I couldn’t install it.

Im in Texas, APR and E1 Motorsports both said the APR turbo inlet and intake fit with the new model, I have an appointment for install in a few weeks. I do know you have to buy the extra fittings for it.

Doesn’t the apr intake suffer majorly from heat soak though with it being open? Sure it’s sound cool

Calling your car White Thunder is as cringe as when people refer to their cars as “she”…beside that, lovely car and stunning wheels

Mine is called the big car (RS3) which it really is not, and the polo is the wee car.

Akin to me saying ‘put the big light on’ in the front room…..

As long as you have a decent intercooler, an open cone is not going to have much affect on IAT's especially once the car is moving. People like to convince themselves a £1400 closed carbon intake is money well spent, sure it looks nice but the APR one at half the price will work just as well...

This is also my experience. Closed kits do look the part though.

The build is looking mega Pedro and looking forward to seeing what else you've planned.

It's always better though to try and keep intercooler and pipework as cool as possible especially if your stuck in a traffic jam or queuing up for a 1/4 mile drag strip dash, on my sons car (RS3/4wd engined Golf Mk2) we are able to also programm the cooling fans with road speed to try and keep under bonnet temps down when stopped or below 15mph (I think I set them at) they just come on at about 25% once the water temp is 70deg or more
