Compared to the A45 I guess they had to have it nearer that price tag along with inflation.
8V wasn’t exactly cheap when new either.

I don't know about UK, but here there is 18,6% tax for anything with engine over 2.0l and 3,1% for smaller engines. Yet RS3 is around 200 pounds more than A45S. The difference was larger in the past, but not anymore.

Morning All,
Not much activity last week: so 95% copy and paste. Very quite 3rd week, historically, where Audi should be kicking off the Daytona and Kemora Grey batch.
Strangely quite.
Expect to see a bunch of cars wearing the 73 plate as they are collected. Have 2 in the wings.
Even with the number of cancellations, we are showing about 75% of orders being fulfilled to date.

It’s a hard sell even at that price.

I was talking to a performance car dealer last week and he’s pointed out that the market is really slowing down as dealers are struggling to move cars on.
Economy / cost of living / high PCP Apr all playing a part.

I’ve turned down 3 offers of £60k so far, so we’re almost there.
It’s always going to be a hard slog for a private seller with a vehicle over £30-40k as I can’t offer finance which most people are looking for.

I've have been accused of not being able to afford the l ordered pmsl....at that, car was £59k plus change monthly was £418 and most of the deposit came from the profits of the sale of my 2 previous Audi's,l drove the Mrs company car for 20 months gratis could of taken the car over a short term HP agreement if l wanted to,but waiting waiting just ****** me off big time like it did with so many would be owners,the long wait also gave me time to reflect and think what l really wanted, without a doubt the RS3 8Y saloon is a looker,my preference has always been having a nice interior...contrast stitching,lighter tone of leather etc etc ....this was were the long wait came into play, as time went on, l just realised l couldn't live with the black on black seats,high gloss black trim on that centre console, cheap scratchy black plastic didn't bother as much as the hearse like interior...so all the money l had for the 8Y is still there....waiting for the car that ticks more boxes and doesn't need to have 400 bhp with an RS ego

Ok chaps, I'm not pointing fingers here as it is not just down to a single member but It would appear that this specific forum has taken a rather disappointing step backward with regard to members' replies and postings.
Everyone is allowed to voice there comments etc but it's becoming a noticeable downward spiral again with constant baiting and bickering in half a dozen threads.
Please refrain from this sort of site behavior, it doesn't do anyone any favors whatsoever, if you don't like a reply then just ignore it rather than fuelling the fire.

one or two exclusive colours are being built notifications. Is it a case of current 8Y version being wound up?.

Good news, nearly there.. Best case scenario 1 month, worst case scenario 3 months.

If your order was accepted before the stop-sell on Tango-red, then it should get rolled up on the 38week run. Your dealer may have better insight.

I had to accept my order to be moved to 38th week. Should be ready for pickup in October. Initially it was supposed to go into production Feb'24.

I was considering also changing to Ascari Blue Matt, but was told no chance for any exclusive color on RS3 anymore.

Was a time, when it was possible to change anything within the standard offer before the factory started to organise the parts for the build.
Exclusive colours added more cogs to this and was an exception.
So can understand the rejection for the exclusive colour at this late stage, adding to this that, RS3 8Y has been well past, stop-sell a few months in Europe.

It's not a stage because I wanted to cancel my current order and place new with another dealer. It's just it would mean production not before Q2'2024. And salesman couldn't accept order without prior confirming the price of color and availability. But he got the answer that there are no production plans for RS3 in Q2 at all at this moment.

Comparing insurance is a tricky subject because even just a different postcode can have a massive effect.

I was £480 last year at 36 years old with 13 years NCB. This year it looks like it’ll be closer to £700 with nothing changed apart from my no claims increasing by a year. Ridiculous.

Tax is fixed rate these days for petrol cars and comes in at £570 after the first year. And then goes down to something like £270 after four years I believe?
