I managed to find four fronts on sale as a set on ebay.de, pretty much as new. They are nice wheels so I would have purchased two sets and sold off the rears.
I fitted 4 of these R8 front wheels to my TT RS Mark 3 (the new one) and there is lots of clearance. Should be fine on an RS3. You have the widths wrong on the willtheyfit graphic above. On the TT there is only a 3mm outer difference on an ET52 standard rim on the TT.
They all have Gtechniq C1+Exo except the A1 which has Zymol. The RS4 had a paint correction about a year ago but really needs another detail after the winter. They look fine after a decent wash.......
We have the following in the drive :
Ara Blue - TTRS
Sprint Blue - RS4 B7
Sepang Blue - S3
Scuba Blue - A1
Do you want me to take a few photos tomorrow so you can see the difference all together ??
So while we're on the subject of suspension, what's the best way to get rid of the bouncy rear end on the spoortback. I have the standard suspension and 18 inch wheels. On a smooth B road it's not to bad but it's a nightmare on a bumpy road. I have Bilsteins on my Rs4, which drive really well. I...
There are two different versions of rubber mats. One without the holes on the rears and one with. I was supplied with the wrong ones and had to swap them.
I have an RS4 B7 with Torsen and S3 8V (Manual) with Haldex. I alway get a quick spin of the fronts on a rapid take off on the S3 when the roads are wet or gravelly. With the Torsen you already have 60% of the power on the rears so it just grips unless you're on snow/icy and all four wheels spin.
Manual handbrake for me. Used it a few times today in the RS4 as it's a bit icy up in the north of scotland. In the S3, I have to put my seatbelt on to move the car 3 feet with the auto brake and the hill hold assist.
