Thanks Ju, that's done the trick. no sooner had I turned to full lock on both sides than I had power steering back! thanks for your advice, much appreciated. I don't suppose you have a similar trick for esp do you?
Thanks, I tried driving round the block but alas, it hasn't cleared. I've booked it in to my local Audi dealership to be sorted out. it's just frustrating that there is no sort of reset that can be done! plus I'll have to embarrassingly admit my shortcomings at the dealership! ;)
