Hi, just so you know I tried the lock to lock method again last night and it didn't work. I think I'll defo need a VCDS. Is there anyone local to Leicester who can help?
Hi, thanks for your reply. I've seen that thread before and have tried the lock to lock method. Unfortunately it hasn't worked for me.
What exactly did you do to resolve it?
Hi all, I think I've finally gotten to the bottom of this!! It appears that I needed to turn hill hold assist off! It now holds the revs at around 2.5k and makes that lovely 'bouncing off the limiter' sound. Awesome!
Hmm how strange. I'm doing exactly the same and all I get is the revs rise to 1500rpm but the car is struggling against the brakes. Nothing like LC where the revs intentionally rise to 3-4k and hold there.
Update: I can confirm this doesn't work on my car. Tried again today, once with ESC in sport (single press) and once with ESC off (press & hold).
I even tried the car in Dynamic, as well as not in Dynamic but just in 'S'.
Nothing.
Thanks for your reply.
Do you mean ESC in sport (single button press) or ESC off (press + hold)?
Did you find the revs go up to 3-4k?
Any feeling of the car pulling against the brakes?
Hi all,
Since this post has been brought up again I may as well ask here...
Does my A4 B9 2.0 TFSI s-tronic 190 have LC? I've tried the procedure outlined above but all that happened was the car struggled against the brakes to about 1500rpm then gave up.
To be clear...
Engine was def at...
Hi all, I was hoping someone in Leicester with a VCDS could get rid of my 00778 ESP fault. Which is to do with the angle sensor inside my steering column.
It reads: "steering angle sensor (G85) no or wrong adaptation"
I've already tried driving around doing lock to lock etc but it hasn't...
Hi all, as the post above mentions, this feature is a new-ish technology called MHEV. Or Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
It's not like your usual hybrid vehicle where the electric motor can be used to drive the vehicle. It's more a feature consisiting of an enhanced starter motor & battery which...
The contributors to this thread have helped me make my decision - that I will happily use supermarket fuel. As you've said there, it was more the convenience of whichever station is near me more than anything. And I have a sainsburys petrol station quite close by .
Not sure if you're still looking for an answer on this, but I can confirm that there is a second button next to the Parking Brake button. And it came standard on mine...I didn't specify HHA.
