    Engine warning light in Bedfordshire...

Many thanks to Daggz68 and StatedRain for the offers, I've managed to find out that it's the PCV valve causing me issues this time! Thankfully they are quite easy to change if I remember - it also appears that the thermostat is bu####ed too but I'm not so sure that's as easy... Anyway, thank...

    Engine warning light in Bedfordshire...

Thanks Prt57 I do plan on going to them as a last resort but it's difficult to get to them as I work nearly 12hr days and I am a 40 minute drive from them - depending on how good the traffic through/around Bedford is. I'm not very trusting of the garage that's local to me in Luton where I work...

    Engine warning light in Bedfordshire...

Hi all, I'm asking for a little help as folks on here have suggested this course of action previously. I own a 2007 S3 hatchback and I recently experienced a yellow engine warning light on the dash. I disconnected the battery and the warning light went away. About a week later my battery died...

Help Needed With PDC Module Location! Confused!

Thanks for the help guys, it was on the right as you've all said but on a different bracket behind what appears to be my Bose amplifier. New module doesn't change anything so I'm guessing the sensors themselves have failed - no clicking from any of them. Is there anything else it could be?

Help Needed With PDC Module Location! Confused!

Dammit! Now why did I think left??? I had a peek under the right trim and saw a metal box/heatsink mounted on some sort of large black plastic frame. Is it under all of that?

Help Needed With PDC Module Location! Confused!

Hi all! I'm wondering if I can pick a few brains please? I have a 2007 S3 (3 door hatchback) and I'm trying to replace the PDC Control Module as my parking sensors have started playing up. The research I've done so far tells me that the module is behind the trim in the boot on the left side...

Advice Needed! S3 Running Rough On Startup

Ok it's update time! New coil packs, plugs, PCV, DV and fuel filter fitted with the latest revisions and still no joy. AKS very kindly agreed to squeeze me in and scan my car. The mis-fire count on cylinder no. 3 was through the roof on idle but was running fine on throttle. They have diagnosed...

Oil Leaking From Here! What Is It?

I would be interested to know how this goes, I went to Audi and they sold me a gasket that I've yet to change and I'd be rather annoyed if I'd paid out for something I didn't need! Not to sound too dumb but what kind of sealant would you use to plug the leak?

Advice Needed! S3 Running Rough On Startup

Yes, no apparent problems and this problem only occurs when the engine is dead cold!

    Diy inlet valve cleaning

Is vapour cleaning the same as the hydrocarbon cleaning you see advertised?

Advice Needed! S3 Running Rough On Startup

Ok, so with 77k on the clock it's probably worth changing some of that stuff over anyway. Though I've never changed a fuel filter before so not sure how hard it is. I did have one more idea also: This cover on the top R/H side of the engine has leaked oil and maybe when the seal/gasket is cold...

Advice Needed! S3 Running Rough On Startup

Last time I spoke to AKS they had a 2+ month lead time on booking in work! I take it replacing injectors is a professional job too?

Oil Leaking From Here! What Is It?

That's what I was thinking, I just need to be able to identity it enough so that I can get a replacement part and stop it leaking all over the place.

Advice Needed! S3 Running Rough On Startup

I didn't suspect the injectors purely because the problem only appears when initially starting the engine. Do the cleaners that you put into your fuel tank have any effect? However I have noticed that the engine does seem sluggish to fire up too of late.

Advice Needed! S3 Running Rough On Startup

Ok, new plugs is a good start I will see if I can pick some up from AKS at the weekend... maybe a coil pack or two. Sadly the car is 100% standard (so far :whistle2:) so I can't quickly pull coil packs out but I might give it a try - the only limiting factor being that I need to let the engine...
