All I have swapped them over at the weekend and the car would fire but not run for more than about 2 seconds. Today I have put the new key blades into the old fobs and all is as good. Apparently this was an immobiliser issue.

Thanks, this was the one I was following up until he slid the blach part off of the colum which I could not do and then a friend found 2 tabs and the barrel dropped out. I have the old and the new side by side here on my desk ready for a refit tomorrow. Thanks for your reply.

Hi thanks for your reply I just had another look and I was over thinking things I pushed in a plastic tab and and they separated easily. The LEDS plugged straight in and are a brilliant upgrade. Cheers Bry
