i have made some progress the original spec is 390x36 and the width from the wheel mating face to the back of the disc is 59.7mm the c6 rs6 part number is 4F0615301L and that is the above specs or so i am led to believe the c7 part number is 4G0615301E this is also 390x36 just need to check...

I think he cheapest properly fast car you can buy at the moment is a e60 m5 I swaped my s3 for one it was a stupidly fast in comparison to a stage 2 s3 it's about the same low down but get it into the 80mph + range and its an animal

yeah just a rewind tool and if its not on a lift a felix head ratchet and a m14 spline to get the carrier off but don't quote me on the spline driver size but the flexi head ratchet makes easy access to get on them as they will be tight !

At the same time you want to check the timing chains are within tolerance as they are a big issue on them 3.2 engines and an expensive fix

I know what you mean sometimes the revs don't want to drop off meaning a fast gear change Is a bit snatchy as the engines going to fast for wheel speed , only happens when I'm pushing very hard not come up with any reasons for it though

Hmm I'll have a look , just scanned it and it had a clutch maulfunction intermittent , checked Ross tech wiki but the code brings nothing back so back to the drawing board

hmm wonder where the fluid has one though ! , wonder if its leaking into the diff ? , mine is dry as a bone
