Recall - issued 02/09/2022

Problem didn't come back after the "adjustments" so far but I doubt that they did anything apart from reflashing the software or something similar...

Thank you, ill have to ask Audi to make "The Adjustments" and take it from there, not a big fan of Norwich Audi, when it went in the initial check and Oil change they damaged the offside Sill, it was hanging off, i had to take it to a body shop to have a new sill fitted ! It seemed that they lifted the car up on the sill !

I'm not a fan of any dealership... When I left my car for this gearbox issue and speaker rattle investigation, they damaged the gear knob trim, left airbox bolts loose and hoses detached. Then it turned out that the door card trim is damaged but extended warranty does not cover "rattles" and trims... Disgusted with dealership and VAG in general...

Trying to work this out from the post, if they update the car and it flags it's about to fail do they cover the work under a recall? Asking as my car is well out of warranty.

Assuming the work is significant if the update flags it?

Evening all, new to this forum but hoping I've come to the right place for some advice. Recently suffered the same fate as many others on this thread and my gearbox has packed in. I've been told that I need a replacement gearbox at the cost of around 8k. My VIN is covered by the 34L4 recall and I was not notified by Audi of this recall when it was issued.

From reading this thread, it seems the recall was for a software update so that an alert is issued on the dash if there is a pending gearbox failure? No doubt had I had this update therefore, I may have been able to sort the issue before it was too late..

I went to Audi with my problem and perhaps unsurprisingly, they have said that the the bolt coming loose would not cause a hole in the rear casing. How they have come to that conclusion is beyond me, particularly given that seems to be the exact issue described in this thread.

However, wondering if anyone has any advise how best to proceed? I've tried to find out but can't see that there has been any group action taken. Not sure what my next steps could be. Any help is appreciated
