Re: v6 tdi intake manifold flap fault
The intake manifold motor is on the intake pipe that connects to the inlet manifolds and the rubber boost hose fixes into it. It's on the right hand side as you look at the engine next to the power steering reservoir. It has a...
Looking at Ross-tech website, it would appear to be part of the egr valve?
Can't remember what the egr looks like underneath on the 2.5 as I sold mine a few years back.
Could do if it's blocking the air flow!
Isn't that part of the anti-shudder valve when shutting the engine down?
Try undoing it from inlet pipe and see it'll start.
Tony Banks? He is good. There was a Ferrari in having a custom exhaust done when I went. Made me feel better about his work!

Have you had vcds on the car to see what is happening?
Have earth points been checked over under the dash? (not sure where they would be, but on my citroen it caused no end of issues until cleaned them up.
Looks like the UJ is part of the steering column according to that website. It may be a separate part though.
If funds permit, then replace both front springs and shocks. Good practice to replace in pairs.
My old A4 used to lose the rear really easily and this was due to one spring and shock...
