Yeah, fans fully working and very quiet now, turning on and off as they should.

I just chuck mine in a 90c wash with plenty of washing up liquid.

I recently had the same problem with my 2.0fsi. Turns out my problem was with the fan control module that is part of the whole fan unit. I replaced the complete fan unit for around £120 new, many used ones on ebay for £40-60. Just be aware that there are 2 different fixing positions on otherwise...

I had the same problem removing mine. I tried one of the puller tools but still couldn't get it off, took a hacksaw to it in the end!

2003 2.0 fsi sport

Any 3-door should be plug and play. It might sound a silly question but did you fit the bulbs? When i got my MY11 lights they weren't supplied with bulbs.

I had exactly the same problem with mine a few weeks ago. I also have a 2.0 fsi and seems to be a common problem with cars of this age. Unfortunately no way to repair, needs to be replaced - i got a used one off ebay for £25 or they are around £150 for a shiny new one, part number 06F131503B.
