I have a 1.8TFSI with the S-Tronic gearbox and seen quite a few youtube vids of people getting the dsg pop with a downpipe, just wondering if anyone has had one fitted and rough cost, also im guessing the car would need to be remapped? or would it be ok with the stock map?
When I bought my car roughly 6 months ago the steering wheel leather looked really fresh with a matte finish, obviously over time it started to go shiny and collect dirt so I bought AutoGlyms Leather Cleaner (which showed a shiny steering wheel being returned to a matte/new finish)
However I...
So I've been looking for an upgrade on my 8P A3, and found a 1.8TFSI S-Tronic. My current car is a diesel and really miss the petrol engine noises. I was just wondering if with a few mods I could make the 1.8 TFSI pop and bang during gear changes.
It's really nice car, S-Tronic, Quattro...
So my turbo has this whine its quite loud when its cold however you can't hear it when its warmed up and driving, also in the video when I let off the throttle you hear a huge woosh of air is this how it's supposed to sound? (I know the whine i'snt normal but the air?)
2.0TDI BKD
I have a 2005 2.0TDI (140) and in the morning its fine the turbo is there, but ive noticed coming home from work when its been hot recently its SERIOUSLY slow the car goes nowhere and struggles to get past 3k revs its like the turbo is not working at all.
I have a 2.0 TDI 140 and the car feels slow however its always been like this since i bought it.
When I floor the car it it takes awhile for it to climb the revs then after 2600-2800 revs its like its got nothing left to give so I have to change gear.
Also while its climbing revs I can hear...
So my car alarm/siren wont stop going off even after locking/unlocking the car multiple times. The car will be unlocked and the engine started and driving and it will still be going off.
Unlike the other common problem related to the alarm and boot also showing on the dash mine doesn't...
So my car failed an MOT today due to this;
Brakes imbalanced across an axle Offside Front (3.7.B.5B)
I just want some advice on where to start for example is there any common problems with the calipers that cause this? I'm really hoping it's not an ABS issue.
What should I take a look at first...
I had an ABS sensor die on me which I assumed triggered the steering and ESP light, I replaced the ABS wheel speed sensor which fixed the ABS light but the steering wheel and ESP light is still on.
VCDS says this:
1 Fault Found:
00778 - Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
000 - -

This has been happening ever since I bought it however its really quiet when the clutch pedal is fully out, its at its loudest when at biting point (which is what im doing in the video) and the noise fully goes when the clutch pedal is all the way in.
Im guessing its the clutch release bearing...
First of all I know there is loads of these threads and im sorry lol.
I bought the car with an aftermarket JVC radio and I knew before I seen the car the speakers wont be working anyway I bought it few month ago and only now just got round to having a look at it.
So I know the rear speakers...
I bought the car with the key fob not unlocking the car, I thought a new battery was needed so didnt bother me much but I bought a battery today and was putting it in and noticed its quite oxidized as if the key has been underwater, anyway changed the battery and tried syncing it with the car...
My car needs rear disc brakes BADLY so I bought the parts and tried to take the wheels off but the locking nut key was rounded off, ok no biggie ill just take it to a garage and get them air chiseled off... Nope, FOUR garages later and none of them have got any nut to turn a tiny bit (despite 2...
So theres a few "tweaks" id like to do to my car but i've read some horror stories about people whos coding have failed or they coded the wrong thing... I'm not bothered about accidently coding the wrong thing because I would triple check everything just what if the coding fails?
Lets say for...
So my car has headlight leveling sensors on the wheel (for xenon lights i assume?) however it has just the normal headlamps so its making the dash beep with a fault about headlight leveling...
Was told by local garage the leveling sensors are for Xenon lights only which makes me think someone...
So, decided to take the plunge and bought a cable which should be arriving soon.
The reason I bought it is because I have ABS, Traction Control and Power Steering lights on.
I would like to check for faults, fix them and then clear them, from what I've seen the interface looks pretty self...
I need to reset some lights in my car (abs, traction control, power steering)..
VCDS is too expensive for 1 time use so I took it to a garage which used a tool which looked exactly like this.
I know for 03+ Audi you need a VagCom cable to code stuff to the car but all I need is to just reset...
