    Suspension Code - Paint Translation

Can someone translate a dot mark for my car springs please? Rear Springs - 8PA Sportback Option code for my rear suspension is down as UA0 = Rear shock absorption (I believe the shock absorber code is shock - 1K0513029HM) as the rest were all UA1, UA2, etc (7) 1K0****HM Gas shock...

One caliper doesn't bleed manually but does with pressure bleeder

It's a force multiplier iirc although it's a bit strange how only 1 side affected as if you still have air or blockage in it. I highly doubt 3 master cylinders have gone bad. I can't recall which way around it is, but normally pedal should go hard pumping it with engine off (I believe it sinks...

HOW TO : Pollen Filter 8P1 Sportback

Thanks :) I knew there were kits about, wasn't sure if it was more of a bodge or if they had properly fixed the issue. I just noticed it quickly because my car was one of the ones with the common fault, I'll get the old drill out and do some damage

Random cut outs no engine codes

It's more down to a poor earth than metal expanding. A lot of the time it's because of the basics as opposed to something technical

    Turbocharger teardown (P0234 code)

I recently replaced the Turbocharger on my car, which has fixed the performance issues. Thought I'd show a couple of photos as you can see it gummed up a lot, mainly for reference photos if anyone is curious. Car had 135k miles on it, developed overboost issues around 130k Luckily there's no...

Audi A3 2.0 TDI Sport 2004 power steering replacement

Gen1 will go straight in with no coding. If you do need to code it's about £100 at Dealership IIRC. GEN1 are most prone to failure however, GEN3 is best way to go but it needs the loom and also a couple arms for the subframe I believe. I wrote a guide on my site about identifying them before...

HOW TO : Pollen Filter 8P1 Sportback

I self-host, as I like to have control over the pictures and my content. It makes it easier for tracking with analytics. I designed my site because of a desire to share knowledge and help others, so I'm always working on writing new content for it. Replaced the Pollen Filter in my Audi A3...

    Finally replaced my Turbocharger

Indeed, my car is using the factory turbo. I don't know if it's been tuned, but I didn't want to go through adding a Hybrid Turbo route then messing about with everything else. My car had 135k miles on it before I replaced the Turbo. If the factory Garrett turbo can last this long , it's good...

    Finally replaced my Turbocharger

Not really a how to so I haven't posted there. It took me 17 hours (although I reckon now I could probably do it in 4 or 5) as I was going slowly. I just wanted to document that I managed to replace my Turbo, and I added a few pictures / comments onto my blog that others could potentially read...

    Audi A3 1.6tdi (2010) P0204 Injector 4 open

Normally, they're usually held in by socket caps, I never did the injectors on my old Golf so couldn't tell you Usually it's a case of popping the head cover off, removing the socket caps, disconnecting the electrics, and then pulling out the injector possibly with a slide hammer if needed

Diesel purge just generally cleans the injectors / fuel systom, could be completely ****. The wiring harness itself is built into the head so you normall have to take the cover of anyway. I'd look for any obvious signs like broken connectors or dodgy wiring. Incase it's been giving a poor...

    Egr valve

Yes - but I don't know if you know the vehicle well enough to identify the N18 Valve. From Ross-Tech - hence why I said check wiring, if you're getting P0403 either the EGR valve is fully blocked, or you have a wiring/power problem 16787/P0403/001027 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve...

Have a read of this post - https://uk-mkivs.net/topic/50427-pd-vac-line-simplification-n18-n239-valve-delete/ Find the vacuum reservoir in the engine - It's normally at the front left as you open the bonnet above the alternator and follow the pipes from it
