Well, I suppose it's not that A5 specific buuuut. Any reports on a 2.0tfsi remap economy v standard economy? I've had a look honest , but can't find anything. I want to go back to petrol but the car will be doing over 1000 miles month so I'm hoping to fight it's corner. Cost at the pump is...
I'm not back, don't have an audi and am in fact getting rid of the clit (Mondeo) in favour of a 98 naked Diversion (already 2000 wobbly mile covered!). I dearly want another audi but it's unlikey to happen this side of an Alien incursion, a cure for cancer or all of us being 100% truely happy...
Hey peeps, been a while since I've post on ASN!
I'm looking at an A6 avant 1.9tdi (115) SE and am wondering about the service intervals. Currently on around 130k with stamps in the book but I'm wondering when the timing belt and water pump etc should be replaced? I used to have an A4 quattro...
For about the 3rd post I've said that I've been going list various bits and pieces for sale and to date not managed to. Sorry to the pm's, I will get back to you. Every time I make a move on this my snow globe of a world gets turned upside-down. I'll post again when I get a chance.
I've finally got around to clearing out the garage. I'll post a classified tomorrow with the few bits I have left. I'll be hanging on to my vagcom lead as it will do most of the cars I'm looking at for 2010.
Bit's in there are rear diff seals, avant wiper stalk, rear hub/disc shield and a few...
04 CMAX - 2.0tdci
To date.
new EGR 18 months ago, now goosed and getting replaced again.
Fusebox woes which result in loss of reversing lights, parking sensors and rear numberplate lights.
Fuel rail sensor knackered, which, as it's embedded in the rail requires a whole new rail.+
Anyway...
Missing you all loads. I'll be posting my bits for sale (ooer!!!) this week. Sorry to all who have requested the vagcom lead. I'm trying to find out if it will work on the MK3 mondeo. It's also OBDII so I'm trying to find out it's useable...
I'll post what I've got on ebay and submit the link...

Went for £1000 and was picked up by two lovely young Lithuanian gentlemen this evening....
..turns out she's being exported to Russia via Lithuania!!!! Looks like she might make 500,000 miles after all!!!!
I'll be sticking around on here and I've still...
On the up again.... TBH I wouldn't have noticed as the prices seem to be gradually climbing anyway! What I was thinking was...
How many members do we have on here in total? Why not get an E-petition sorted, contact other UK VAG forums (or any other marques for that matter) and let parliament...

I.e... handy baggy full of all the relevant bits for a standard filter change? Gonna give Stinky a 250k pressy...:doctor:
Only asking as for now all the filters need to be bought seperatley, (which is good for other reasons)...

Wasn't sure where to post so I've lumped you guys with it!
Got a pm from a guy called Paul Walton about doing a small feature on cars with high mileage, means a small blurb and a shot with stinky. Obviously has to be an ASN member, anybody heard of him? Gonna give him a call anyway.
Mum was last for her £2 flight to Paris today, I (and stinky) had to toe the line at 5.55am... :gaehn: I learned two things:
1)My mum can get ready in less that 45minutes to get anywhere (about 9 mins this morning)
2)A 6th gear would have been a handy addition...:racer::ninja: !
Incidently...
Just changed the rear pads. As I was winding the rear left piston back the rubber piston gaiter had stuck to the piston so was twisting on the piston as it turned. I wd40'd it and tried to free it up, I believe is just sits in a collar and rotates, it only acts as a dust shield I believe, in the...
