I assumed the effect wouldn't be as much as it would with a T. But any small advantage (especially with fuel) is always welcomed.

I was looking for one. But I tested quite a few and let's just say that either the previous owners did not know how to drive properly or they didn't care, that and the interioir's were a baby's playground. That is why I ended up getting a normal 1.8.

I have a 1.8 (no turbo) A3 2001. Was wondering if it would be worth while to have it chipped. If it will help with fuel economy or add some power? If I should do it, what chip should I look for.

Nothing after that hey. If I push the button below my rev counter once it shows distance to my next service, push twice and it does a oil, water, brakes etc check. But nothing like I see in the other ones like temp, radio stations and all that jazz. I figured it would be displayed where it shows...

Silly question but I have an A3 1.8. Would I have the same display setting? I just have my normal "OK" sign upon start up. But when started it just switches off. I'm new to Audi, so I'm still finding my footing.

Very nice mate. I still envy you euro blokes because you get the GTi in 3 door. We only get the sucky 5 door.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I will just make her look pretty. Dropped suspension and try and find a boot spoiler somewhere. but finding a quality suspension kit here in SA for Audi's are hard. I would prefer to buy a kit, like with the old honda vtec... I don't want to loose drive...

Hey This is my 1st post and new to the audiverse. I picked up a 2001 A3 1.8. Is there anything I could do to make it get there faster. :uhm:All the threads I see here are for 1.8T and S3. There must be someone out there that has a 1.8. Any advice will be most welcome. :anbet:
