If i buy a cheap second hand Chorus II Stereo for my A4 can i just pull the face off the old unit to replace my worn buttons.

Does anyone have link to a guide or knows how to carry out the bypass on the 1.8t engine on the A4 ? I've done it to my previous 1.8t's that I've owned, but its setup a bit differently on the A4. I'll be having a crack at it this weekend. But it would be easier if I had a guide.
