Strange display problems

Last week my car was displaying a offside side light out when it is the nearside.

Today it now shows the passengers front door open when I open the drivers door.

I've still not found why my side light is inoperative. And now the new door open display is confusing things even more.

Vagcom is coming up with no errors. But is displaying scan results in German ?

Help please before I fall out with this car and sell it.

Also you can hear the central locking doing something once every minute. And the interior light won't auto turn off once I've pulled the key out.

I've got some major electrical gremlins that need sorted out.
 
Check the front passenger footwell for damp.
 
i would have said pass footwell but he didnt mention anything else
and it can change the dash to german
 
the water can seep through and wet the pass carpet
and wet the cc unit giveing you the problems you have
 
The CCM is under the.pax seat.
Lots of things go wrong if this gets wet..
 
Ahh rite.

So what if my CCM is damaged from prevoious water damage. Only option is to buy new from the dealer ?

(whats CCM stand for ?)

sometimes you can dry them out
or buy second hand will need a bit of vcds recodeing
no idea what cdma stands for

Sorry made a type'o on my phone.

I have VCDS, is there a guide to recoding or am i best putting it to the dealer ?

Is the CCM literaly located under the passengers seat ?

Scan your CCM and make note of the code,then recode the replacement with your original code.
If you push the seat back and lift the carpet you might be able to get it out.

your 5th number should be 4 unless you have a problem with the ccm as above

Ok ill give it a bash tomorrow after work.

And try get a part number off the CCM.
 
Got a new CCM from a friend of a friend.

How do i use vcds to recode it. What number do I need to record off the old unit ?

Update:

I've had a replacement CCM coded by my mate at Audi.

Every thing now works as it should. Apart from my nearside side light. Possible cause is a canbus multiplug problem.
