Odd Display Problem

Since buying my A4 1.9TDI 2001 B6 I have a strange problem.
When I open the drivers door, the display on the dash shows the passenger door as open and when the passenger door is open the drivers door shows as the one open on the display. The rear doors indicate correctly. before I got the car it had the convenience module replaced....would this have anything to do with the problem?

They've coded the convenience module for LHD instead of RHD.

Cheers. Is that a dealer job to recode it?

Dealer can recode it for ££££££, but also easily recoded with VCDS/VAG-COM.
