Hi all, Just wanted to say ive just done a round trip From Nottingham to Newquay in my a3 1.8t remapped to 197bhp i filled the tank up from empty and hit no traffic at all. On the way down to Newquay i was averaging 29mpg driving between 70 and 80 all the way and got 300mile out of a tank...

Hi folks, My 2002 1.8t a3 has had the check engine light on for a few weeks car seems to be running well and getting 30mpg average i think it could be my secondary air pump on the way out would be really helpful if anyone in the Nottingham city centre area could scan my car to see what codes it...

5o quid for a cup holder!! thats madness i would check out a vag breakers company online or you might get lucky at your local scrap yard i bet you could get a secondhand one for a tenner.

yeah just carefully lever the surround from each side the clips for the surround are at the top it come off dead easy.

castrol edge 5w 30 is silky smooth in my 1.8t, no problems

very easy to replace! take the suround off around the cup holder hazard light etc. The cup holder has a clip each side it just slides out. I had to take mine out the other day to replace my hazard light switch, i have no idea what a replacement holder will cost you?

i wasnt planning on taking it to kwik fit Lol, but i get ya point. at the end of the day my car is in excellent condition but it is 9years old, is there any point keeping up the service history then? Also i can do most things myself what things needs to be done on a 40000mile service?
