I basically just want them to point upwards a little more so the road ahead is illuminated more rather than the road directly in front of the car. Looks like a trip to a local garage with VAG-COM. Is it likely the garage will know how to do this or will i need to supply the codes/instructions?

Is there any way of calibrating the auto adjustment on a C5 allroad halogen ellipsoidal headlights. I appreciate they are auto levelling but the standard level they adjust to is just a little too low for my liking.

Yeah, when I said gearbox I meant transmission as a whole. So it could be doing damage to the TC?

Sorry if I didn't make it clear, but i was referring to the foot brake. My concern is whether the torque at idle wanting to push the car forward vs the brake trying to slow it causes strain on the gearbox.

Question about winter driving. Imagine the scenario... VERY steep icy/snow covered hill. The vehicle is a C5 allroad with Goodyear 4Season (snow marked & M+S) marked tyres with the tiptronic auto box. If the car was just left in first or second the hill is so steep that engine braking alone...

Also it has 225/55/R17 wheels and I would want to put Hankook Optimo 4S tyres on it. They don't come in that size though, nearest is 225/60/17" would these be ok to fit. Thanks.
