Not much, probably 2-300rpm but the turbo will be tailing off by then if stock turbo still fitted so gear change needed to keep the tourque in range. Hence on these b8 audis not worth it unless rs4/s4 type of cars, all imo of course, but it depends on engine set up. ie diesel, v8, turbo...

The older ones can be done I belive but needs plugging in direct so will need car on ramps. And imo. I don't think its that useful as I hardly use manual. I just knock it into sport to make most of it.

Ideally, you'd want a new block as I doupt they'd re-hone it and just replace ring, rods and seals which may bring the problem back. Make sure you ask them. I know a guy who had his 'repaired' and he had a loud tapping noise.
