Seen a lot of threads here about brakes pads but not much about pads for low brake dust, anyone got any recommendations for pads with low dust?
I've been using Brembo xtra pads with DBA discs on the front for the last couple of months but they produce a crazy amount of dust and they squeal when...
Don't see why there would be a problem. When I bought mine from a wheel shop on ebay they where just being advertised to fit an RS3 8v, mine are fitted to a sportback and I didn't need spacers.
Had a good run out today. The gear shifts in manual and dynamic mode are quicker and crisper, and I don't recommend it but it'll even shift at the limiter. It also seems like my mpg has improved in suburban driving and it definitely cools quicker. It's transformed the car couldn't recommend it...
3 years later..
Had the TVS stage 2+ dsg software installed today at Peron Automotive. They did tell me it would take bit over 100 miles to adapt, but just from the drive back down I can tell it's improved the car massively. It's smoother and the shift points are where they should of been from...
The mechanic at the garage who fitted my discs and pads said he couldn't hear it when he started it up but the engine probably would've still been warm. I couldn't hear it either when I started it up to drive home, he also said he thinks it's down to the cold weather and it won't be there when...
No to be honest I thought before it might of just been to do with cold whether it's in at a local garage this morning have the front discs and pads changed. I was in a bit of a rush this morning to get it to the garage and usually I'd that let it run through the whole cold start process before I...
I'm having an issue on a cold start with my RS3. When I start it I can hear a knocking sound and when I put it into gear it almost goes away and when the engines warm it goes away. It's running stage 2 revo software without a DSG tune and I know it's highly recommended for a DSG tune running...
If you posted the picture on here in a different post I might of seen it. Was it the picture of the just a disc being held on a scale? The reason I was looking to see what the total weight is, is because I'm contemplating getting Reylands or the stock brembos. I can get the stock brembo discs...
That's what I was more leaning towards, just not sure of the difference in weight compared to stock I know from another thread that just the disc itself is lighter than the stock brembo but I don't know if they're still lighter with the plate attached. But the bolted disc still looks good.
I know there's numerous threads on brake discs but I can't find any answers.
If anyone can help I wanted to know if there'd be any major performance differences between Reyland bolted discs and floating discs, when they're only going to be for road use? Also if there'd be much difference between...
I know I'm off the thread topic (sorry) but I'm currently running Revo stage 2 myself. Have you not had any issues with engine timing being pulled? Always wanted to try the 102 map but I've always thought I needed to buy race fuel, I tend to use Tesco 99 most of the time with the general...
Sports Exhaust all the way (it's deffo the best sounding), you could just get a courier to collect the exhaust and most ebay sellers have a 30 day return policy.
I've got the conti sport contact 7's in 235 on aftermarket wheels, they look a tiny bit stretched on 8.5j wheels but there's still rim protection. I have them in 255 on my stock wheels but they make the traction control a little bit sensitive. Next time I'll go 245/35.
