Their is a quality difference between genuine and non-genuine. Both the fitment and glass structure isn't as good in my opinion as Genuine OEM. When removing wiper marks for example, the glass is tougher to get an initial cut compared to non-genuine that seem to instantly cut in.

From what you have described, you don't have a crack. You have a shallow 1/2 bullseye or a 1/2 star break Take a picture and I'll tell you if it's repairable
