Yes best thing I did. I find it's other road users that can be the issue for your safety. It makes you a better driver with more spacial awareness.
Best thing is visit some local riding schools and see if they do a taster session then you can see if it suits as can get expensive if you bought...
I've got pressed plates from a seller on eBay. They have the bs mark and postcode of supplier which i believe makes them fine. Also have standard lettering and fonts.
Sometimes the dealer puts very cheap tyres on as I've seen recently whilst looking at other cars. I ask the question why those tyres and get told they were cheap. Puts me right off any purchase if they have cheap tyres on performance vehicle.
