Price aside, the best I’ve had in recent years are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Incredible grip in summer and to be honest we don’t really get winters anymore, just rain which they’re fine with.
Do you know anyone that does them and roughly how much?
Any idea where I could get that done and what it costs? Is that actually walnut shells? I've had BiTdi A7s and A6’s for the last 10 years so no experience with the TFSI engine.
Just bought a ‘66 plate 3.0 TFSI and wondering if it would benefit from a carbon clean. If anyone has any advice or contacts in Buckinghamshire area it would be appreciated.
Do you know anyone that can do the software update for appleplay on the existing pop up screen and where I'd get a bluetooth adaptor to avoid the cabled solution? Cheers
I think the 2015 facelift is the best looking, inside and out. I’m not a fan of a touchscreen dash and not so keen on the exterior lines of the new model. Also exterior wise I think the original has the best rear lights - so much character compared to the new ones which are pretty much the same...
I went for 15mm Eibach spacers all round ...looks great and keeps the car slightly flatter through corners due to the increased width. I went for black ones and pained my hubs black at the same time for a more seamless look.
For me, as an every day ‘spirited’ driver what would you recommend. I don’t want to tear through the pads faster than necessary but would like a bit of extra stopping power over what I get from the standard discs and pads which I feel aren’t very impressive for their size. I’m also about to get...
The 8 speed ZF is a lovely box, especially combined with the BiTdi engine. My 2013 model puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. The torque is ridiculous.
That’s good to know! ...mine will be due soon. Would you recommend the disc and pad sets they do for the best compatibility or is the choice of disc not so important?
Hi RAF. Where did you get your trim wrapped? Did they do the front grille too? ..looks like a tricky job. Do you mind me asking what you paid? I’m interested in getting it done as I don’t like the chrome exterior but didn’t want to but a black edition as I also don’t like the all piano black...
I've done 15k miles in my BiTdi and have got 32mpg average over that period (I reset the long term gauge when I bought it, not touched it since). I generally get around 40 on the motorway cruising around 80mph in eco but nothing much over 25 on a day to day basis around town and faster A roads...
I've been considering a suspension upgrade. Is it the Bilstein B12 pro kit with Eibach springs? How do you find it compares to the standard S Line suspension? I find the standard springs / dampers aren't quite up to it when I need them to be!
