U can use the skc or the 7 digit dealer code with vcds.
Rosstech have a good user guide for these immo3 cars.
Screen is easy to replace but use a good quality screen or it will bleed. i usually replace with good second hand clusters but i guess you will be unable to read donor skc.
you have the same dash clocks as i had in my a3 before i had any knowledge and danio helped fit a full size display.
milage is of course correctable in this case as you wouldnt be decieving anybody
When programming these, entering 2 in the box is storing the remote as remote 2. you should repeat with 1 for remote 1. Not sure why memory isnt holding, did you clear all faults and reset control by reading testing and saving ch00 first?
No shaun it wont work.
I have even tried putting the aftermarket pcb into the genuine case, no go im afraid.
You can however use the new genuine A3 remote on all 8p cars, the early ones had similar remotes to the 8L.
If you can post me both clusters or the new cluster and ecu i can program and return them. Fail in that buy vcds from NHN on here, and look on rosstech website for the correct proceedure. As you have a 'copy' of vag tacho I'd not like to advise you on how to use it. Maybe a local auto locksmith...
I assume Qpeng just defeat the immo and code out the fault codes, and remap the ecu they supply you?
Why not consider getting a tuner to live map the ecu for a possibly better result, I can defeat immo on those ecus and so can most tuners.
Had a day doing things for my car today instead of other peoples! Picked up a full leather interior from a 3door mk4 golf, to match the door cards i aquired months ago! Going back to the golf on monday to finish ripping out the complete wiring harness for the heated seats!
Sometimes the shafts take a right good whack to release. my weapon of choice is a large punch or half inch extension bar on the end of the shaft, but do the nut up a few turns first to prevent it going out of shape. hit it hard once rather than not so hard several times.
You will need to refit...
