As slow has said he has removed prefacelift s3 headlight unit & replaced with a facelift a3 unit. So nothing is as it should be, IMO I'd start again with a facelift a3 unit & rewire & fit an HID kit. He can't re use the a3 unit he has fitted due to cutting up to fit the bulbs etc from the pre...

That spec will fit fine on the rear but you will need min 5mm spacer on the front as it will rub the shock/coilover. Pat

It could be the switch on the back of the barrel, I'd ask if there is a lot of movement with the key in the barrel Pat
