    Massive Electrical Issues

Again, not that I can feel. As typical the electrics have been absolutely fine today and, less than 12 hours before its due to go the specialists, it still is! Not even a flicker from any of the lights, nothing. Hopefully, fingers crossed, that is a sign that nothing is permanently damaged (like...

    Massive Electrical Issues

Hey guys Been a while since I posted on here but I need some advice. Booked my A4 into an independent specialist on Friday because a (very) occasional electrical problem has now transitioned to a pretty much permanent electrical problem. Currently not working: Indicators/Hazards Exterior...

    Yet another photoshop request!

I had a look a bash at doing the photoshop but I started with the wheels... Trying to give such a complicated shape a gloss sheen, along with all the reflections a gloss finish would have, is ****** hard... needless to say, I gave up!! LOL

    Trip computer that talks rubbish

Mine has started doing this, I've ran out of diesel twice even though the range said I had "plenty". It happened once when I was getting 4 new tyres, boy did the fitters rip the p**s out of me for that... especially when I took the missus car for some tyres the next day too ("You sure you got...

    Wheel Photoshop (pretty please!)

And #19 is the best one too! :whistle2:

    Wheel Photoshop (pretty please!)

I must admit I do like them myself. Been looking for a nice set of 5 spokers. I prefer 5 because they're usually less fussy and its easier to get your hand in to clean the inside of the rim without resorting to taking the wheels off! :-)

    Wheel Photoshop (pretty please!)

Here you go: The rear wheel looks a little fuzzy because it had to be skewed quite a bit to match up with the angle of your car. Front wheel is okay because the angle is not so important... Front wheels can turn horizontally after all! Hopefully you get the idea though.

    A4 Slow Windscreen Wipers

What about the wiper problem??

    A4 Slow Windscreen Wipers

If I recall correctly there is something about the arms/rods that connect to the motor, hidden below the cover, have a tendency to start to seize. Try applying a little grease (can't remember if a "special" grease is needed) to all moveable parts/joints. Its just a thought... someone else may...

    My A4 19''s and low !

How many bulbs have you replaced?

Both dipped beam headlight bulbs have had to be replaced, two tail lights (not the dual tail/brake lights) that haven't been replaced yet (too lazy and fortunately the A4 has 4 tail lights so its still legal for now!), and the right front side light went the other day... My Grandad has had a...

    fuel filter

£85 to replace a fuel filter?!! :faint: I'm sure there's a reason why they're called "Stealers" Me too, cost £14 and a few minutes.

    Climate control gauge.....

Pressing one of the temp + or - buttons on the side opposite to the AUTO button you used will also release it from dual control. I love annoying my cousin with the dual zone climate control in his 08 Civic. Honda, in all their "wisdom", decided to put the passenger side heater controls on the...

    Tdi 130 hesitation problem

Don't know if this is going to be of any use (probably not) but I had a hesitation problem, around 1k-2kRPM in any gear, with my '03 A4 TDI 130 SE which turned out to be fuel related... or it could just be purely coincidental that when I changed the fuel filter and stopped fueling at Morrisons...

    Whole car respray?

I too would find it interesting to know the cost of a full body (well, bits that can be readily seen!) respray... Wish I had of gone for a black A4 instead of a U-Boat grey one!

Fitting a front dipping headlight bulb

I changed my dipped headlight bulb outside the spares shop before heading off to Derby. Its awkward but as long as you don't mind slight scrapped hands you don't need to take the headlight units out. A section of the plastic air inlet ducting (if similiar to the 1.9TDI) that runs behind the...

What Tyres Do You Lot Have?

I've got Goodyear Eagle NCT5's (or something like that) on my A4 and they are positively crap! They are on their way out and they've been on for less than 12 months and done around 7-8k! For what appears to be such a soft compound the grip levels aren't that good either... though the fact that...

    Considering A 1.9TDI - Need Some Help

I bought a '53 A4 1.9TDI (130) with 88k on the clock and I wasn't worried about it in the slightest... Lets face it these aren't the basic, clattery Diesels of old. It runs like an absolute dream and to be honest I was actually pleasantly surprised by the performance.
