Yeah sorry, B6! Fat finger moment.
The very great majority of my mileage is motorway at 70 mph typically for two and a half or three hours. Have been very pleased with the economy but the high mileage makes the depreciation unpalatable!

Anybody hear of problems with tinting windows when a car isn't new and has scratches etc on the windows?
I've heard they become really visible, which is the main reason (and cash, obviously) I have held off...
Yeah but they would still have to pay the final valuation fee, and on £450 wheels, that's a few notes. Not as if it's a high enough value scam to make that worthwhile. Maybe they do run auctions, get the feedback and then cancel the transaction or something.
It's a 2002 / 02 2.5 V6 TDI
Hopefully it's not the dash then :sorry: but I don't think so, since the needle was bouncing around for a few weeks before it went dead entirely!
Don't suppose you know the sensor part number by any chance!?
Two questions...

2. Any idea what needs replaced if the thermostat is working correctly (fuel economy normal) but the dash sensor has stopped working...?
Thanks
