Non Automatic headlights vehicle, so functions are as follows:
0 = off
1 o'clock = side lights
2 o'clock = dipped beams
You won't have anything in the dash to say which "lights" are on / which mode you are in but the related symbol on the switch will light up accordingly.
For genuine oem Audi pre facelift camera, brand new parts, you would be looking around £645.00 for the parts. I don’t stock them anymore as it’s not within most people’s budgets. A can price up a genuine facelift kit for you but in order to correctly install you would need someone like myself to...
As these are not officially available audi retrofits i doubt that “software” updates would have resolved the issues as coding etc would have been returned to stock, ie the retrofit coding removed, during said updates. My guess is that updates have been performed and then someone that knows what...
Not common at all. This normally happens when 1) someone is trying to retrofit / install a module and uses incorrect software or 2) when a module goes faulty. I think your problem is the latter
invalid data record = you wont be able to code the control unit until this is resolved. Suggest visiting a specialist with the needed software to flash the correct parameters back to it.
Cannot see the reversing camera causing issues with the mirror dip however without knowing how the camera has been retrofitted it’s impossible to know for sure. Would also need to know what testing has been completed in order to arrive at this conclusion.
If this was me I would, in addition to...
You need to visit / use the services of a specialist in order to conduct local testing etc. Personaly I would remove the camera you have and place it in the trash, source a genuine camera, install, code and then enjoy a fully documented, working and stress free retrofit.
Genuine Camera :)
What you have is a “dumb camera”. It’s power, ground, reverse signal and video only, no CAN. As it has no CAN or module you cannot code it. All you need to do is tell the 5F that you have a reversing camera low connected, which is done via byte 19 in long coding.
Coding...
What you have there is a reversing camera low. Return your coding changes (in every module) to stock / what they originally where, then all you need to do is tick reverse camera low in 5F long coding.
Hate these cameras.
Had units in the past where corrupt data on the sd card caused them to reboot.
Scan the vehicle to see if there are any obvious errors would be a given but do you have to be driving for this to happen or does it happen if you sit stationary for 15mins, engine on and off?
