I don't think you'd have done any damage at all. That clutch is designed for much more abuse than that. You're probably just analysing and worrying about it more because we are all a little precious about our own cars. Its probably smells because at only 1500 miles I recon its still bedding in.

Tyre squeal and understeer to the masses. I haven't driven that road so cannot fully compare but my Torsen equipped B8 seems to be able to apply traction better than your S3 veeeight at similar speeds and road conditions. What tyres are you running?

Imo Haldex cripples S3 and RS3 models. Haldex is just no good for performance orientated cars. Much better for mini 4x4 vehicles like the ford kuga, Q3 etc. Torsen is a much better setup for performance but is vastly more expensive and would require reworking of the chassis but it would have...
