It's rested on its laurels a too long. The 8P chassis has had a long inning & is now dated, surpassed by plenty of other manufacturers it also wasnt the upgrade that the 8L was over the A3 ie flared wings/track etc. The new S3 needs to loose a bit of weight as well as upping the power. Its also...
It could be under the DIS functions then if you have a newer model. NHN had planned to update his centre console buttons to the MY11 on style that weren't as crooked but he noticed that there didn't seem to be a combination of buttons that had TPMS. Another member said that his was under the DIS...
When oe of my sensors went faulty I managed to get a 2nd hand one off of german ebay for IIRC £35 - painted to the correct colour too. Its worth a look there.
I take it you do have TPMS (ie the button on the centre console)? If it was faulty i would have expected the warning light to stay on all the time. Is it possible that its accidentally been added/ticked to either the Can Gateway or the Central electronics module? Isn't tire pressure 2 is for the...
yup, there is definately a fault with immobilizer hence the words SAFE. A scan with a proper VCDS lead will let you know which part is causing the fault.
Mine did exactly the same thing a few years back. I bought one off of Eurocarparts, it was £189 at the time IIRC. There are a couple on Ebay but you run the risk of the same thing happening on a valve of the same age. Stupid idea using plastic teeth! Its not a hard job, just a slightly awkward...
The window being replaced shouldn't cause the battery to go flat. I can't think of anything in the door that being left unplugged etc that would cause it. I'd check that the interior light in the boot or the glovebox isnt staying on, check alternator is charging properly etc. A scan with VCDS...
No, I went for OEM bi-xenons (pre LED DRL). Im sure somebody on the forum tried the latter and said you could tell they were cheaper made but worked ok for him.
There are two different styles of after market LED DRL headlights. If you just put standard bulbs in them you will be fine, if you put after market HIDs in you run the risk of blowing the wiper motor.
It could be the lip on the valve sits high. IE the part with the thread is is shorter. This stops the end of the inflator sitting on far enough to make a seal. I had an RS4 in and due to this I couldnt get either the forecourt or the workshop tyre gauge on.
could be loads of things but 1st thing I would check is the rear bushes of the front wishbones. If they are worn it can cause wandering & a vague feeling to the steering. You also could look at the bottom balljoints & trackrod ends for play too.
