Handed my A3 SE 2.0TDi Sportback in on Friday, after 3 years, will miss the old girl. Partly as the lease was about to end (in a month), and partly as I have a new job! In the three years, had to go into the Garage four times for failures (in order): 1. Oil leak from the Cam pump (lots of...

Things You Didn't Know Your A3 Did!

The Auto headlights come on a set speed, think its 90mph (not that I ever travel that fast ;) ) If you have an electric sunroof, it will automatically shut when it rains (I don't have one to test), but think you need auto wipers. If you take your foot off the accelerator the car slows...

    Clutch Cylinder Went today :(

Well got a phone call out of the blue last night saying the car was ready. Apparently the slave cylinder went, and Audi UK paid for it (being a lease car I am not too fussed). However the towing eye cover has disappeared, and no one wants to take responsibility.

    Clutch Cylinder Went today :(

There was a loud pop at about 2-3000rpm, after which the car had almost no power, had to drive 150miles back home only just managing to hit 70 downhill, and being overtaken by HGV's uphill.

    Clutch Cylinder Went today :(

My Clutch Cylinder went today (according to the man from the RAC), looks like a couple of the other posters on here, initially the clutch did not come up fully, and within 30secs, would not come up at all and totally unable to engage any gears. The car has done 85k in just over two years, so out...

    What's your oil of choice?

Was in Costco today, and they had 3*1litre bottles of 5w-30 Castrol edge (or whatever its called), for £19.50 or so (inc VAT), so get your skates on, that is dirt cheap!

    Shell Fuel dispute

I Know that not everyone has that much money, but i find it incredible that the companies think that the way to relieve the queues and the problem with pumps running dry is to issue a maximum spend on fuel of something like £10. As far as I am aware, thats exactly the problem, go to the garage...
