So, Im sat in rush hr traffic (in a contraflow) and this happened.
-car beeps
-brake warning light fills the DIS
-car cuts out.
No brakes, no steering so luckily I wasnt travelling at speed!
The car starts after 10secs, then above happens again after another minute or so.
Managed to limp out of the contraflow into a bus stop, called the dealers (which was 2 mile away) and a Tech came to have a look on his way home.
After repeating the fault he was baffled and went home.
Called AUDI assist and they sent the RAC who `escorted` me back to the dealers and luckily the car ran for the 5min journey without cutting out. The car is there now.
Heres the twist....
The car had a service last week during which the brakes were inspected and I was advised the pads were low. At the same time it had a software update on the window module.
Then it went back yesterday for a brake fluid change and a replacement door window switch.
Now the car is fecked.
Coincedence??
According to the dealer.... "its impossible for these to be linked Sir"
TBH I dont care who/what/why as long as its fixed without any fuss.
The problem I have is that one of the Techs `road tested` the car after the service and reported he thought it was `chipped`. The Service Manger mentioned it but didnt seem that bothered.
So. Hopefully its an easy diagnostic and easy fix.
The worry is that it becomes a PITA for the dealer, and they try to wriggle out of any warranty work.
Fingers crossed.
Sick as a chip.
Appreciate any advice and ideas on the fault.
Cheers
