Remapping!

Can you remap and increase performance of a 1.8 sport with just downloaded software / bought and plug in the obd cable?

can anyone reccomend any software?
also, for my 1.8 sport, would it be best to put a cone induction kit without a box or an aftermarket panel filter?

A green cotton replacement filter will do the job.

there are some really cheap suspect ones on ebay for around 10 - 30 quid....will these be terrible?

i dont know whether to get a cone or a new panel. will a boxed cone be better?

is it a turbo or not!? an air filter wont give you any real performance on its own, and i definately wouldnt start fiddling with your ecu yourself, especially if your considering getting bits from ebay!

but just to add - a green cotton pannel filter would be your best bet, then get a 4" cold air feed from the front bumper to the original airbox cold air feed.

In that case i wouldnt even bother spending money on it.

How old are you? Do you have a 1.8 n/a due to insurance etc?
