Evening all,
I'm planning on getting the cambelt and water pump changed on the 1.6 soon and before I order the bits I want to clear something up...
My engine rocks a fair bit when it's revved. Its nothing major and there are no nasty noises but if they drop the engine off its mounts to replace the belt they may as well replace anything thats worn out. The odds are that if they don't and a mounts due it will fail all together when disturbed.
So...anyone with a 1.6- how much does your engine move when its revved? I know Audi's have quite soft mounts for the whole comfort thing but how much is normal? My car has done 49,000 miles by the way- I realise some wear is normal.
Cheers folks.
