Cigarette lighter not working

I use my cigarette lighter to power my sat nav and phone etc, but its stopped working.

The red light ring around it still lights up ok, but theres no power coming through to the rest of it.

I've had it out of the casing and checked all the connections and all seems fine.

I thought it could be a blown fuse, but have read elsewhere that if your stereo is working, then its not a fuse (as they share the same one?)

any ideas?

Check the fuses at the side of the dash, the cigarette lighter has its own fuse (I don't think it shares it with the stereo).

if your stereo is working it can still mean a blown fuse. I had the same problem a few months ago. A change of fuse on the right side of the dash....sorted :icon_thumright:

yeah mine blew when i first plugged my nav in. seems strange
